One Good Thing Every Day: February 2, 2013

“Refuse to waste energy worrying, and you will have strength to spare.” from Sarah Young’s Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence

Matthew 6:34 NIV

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Have you ever missed a day in a daily devotional? Maybe like me, you berate yourself for your lack of discipline. You worry you missed an important message from God. But, then the next morning–or the next–you read the scripture you were meant to read the day your day–or days–got away from you. Maybe like me, you realize God placed that same scripture in your mind as you were comforting your anxious child the previous evening. Maybe like me, you rediscover time means nothing to God, that His messages never miss a deadline.
