One Good Thing Every Day: November 12, 2013

I am thankful when my divergent paths reconverge. Brought together by musical strains, familiar faces walked the aisles of my childhood church last Sunday. I clamored around knees and feet to greet the pastor who officiated at my wedding. I embraced my former choir director. I reconnected with a college friend. Even as I encountered people I know from other churches who are connected by hometowns and bloodlines, I glimpsed the ultimate convergence. I heard the angelic refrain of eternity’s hometown and felt our common pulse through Christ’s saving blood.
