Courage: I Know Who Holds My Hand

It takes courage to write. It takes courage to share writing. It takes courage because as soon as we think we are brave enough, we see a mistake that saps our confidence for the next endeavor.

I realize that a perception of my own courage changes based on where I am in the process. Such is the case when I read this post from 2017 and in this poem I wrote a year or more later. While it is important to forget certain actions done against us in order to fully forgive, there are times to fully remember the triumphs of others and what we can learn about our own personal battles.
