I think this question defines 2020 well. Depending on the inflection, it can be loaded with implications. The answer is somewhat rhetorical. Perhaps the best response is a shrug of the shoulders.
We don’t know what’s next? This thing is . . . we never did.
As I wrap up these posts about my 2020 One Word, I recall that I didn’t know what my 2021 word would be. Over the past few weeks, I think I’ve discovered it. Maybe. That’s rather the irony of what I think the word implies anyway. It connects with 2020, but it also gives possibility to 2021. It applies to those areas of well-being. It actually answers the question what’s next?
I like that.
And no. I’m not going to fully reveal what my 2021 word might be. I do encourage you to ask for and seek out yours. Only then can you find out what’s next? for you.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.”Matthew 7:7-8 ESV
